Crisp County’s Caden Lofton has been voted WALB Play of the Week for his highlight dunk during Friday night’s 73-41 victory over Pierce County.

The crowd had been waiting all night for a signature play from Lofton, and he delivered with an emphatic slam that energized the gymnasium.

Lofton led the 14-3 Cougars with 18 points as they completed a season sweep of Pierce County. The team connected on seven three-pointers during the dominant performance.

The Cougars received contributions from multiple players, including Courtney Oliver and A.B. Bryant, who both hit corner three-pointers. Freshman DeAndre Mays scored his first varsity bucket and added a free throw for a three-point play, finishing with 12 points.
