COFFEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) — The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying the person or persons responsible for a burglary at True Praise Baptist Church, located in the Oak Park area of Coffee County.

According to investigators, the burglary was reported on June 22, 2025, and detectives are currently working to establish a timeline and uncover the circumstances surrounding the incident.

“Residents of this county should be able to worship freely and without fear of criminal targeting,” the Sheriff’s Office stated. “Crimes against houses of worship are especially concerning, and we are fully committed to finding and prosecuting those responsible.”

Authorities are urging anyone with information, no matter how minor, to come forward. Tips can be submitted directly to the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office.
