ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Visit Albany has launched a text club to keep residents informed about events, concerts, and community happenings in southwest Georgia.

Digital creator Devin Williams, known as “FirstClassGentleman,” is helping with the launch of the text club.

To celebrate the launch, Visit Albany is giving away free tickets to see Babyface, who will be coming to perform at the Albany Civic Center May 15, 2026 at 8 p.m. Residents must sign up for the text club by Wednesday, May 13, to be eligible to win.

Williams said he wants to change the narrative that there’s “nothing to do” in Albany by highlighting opportunities in the area.

“I’m thrilled to partner with visit Albany, Georgia, to connect our community even closer. People sometimes say there’s nothing going on but it’s our job to shine a light on what makes Albany special. The text club is our resource to keep everyone in the know,” Williams said.
