PLAINS, Ga. (WALB) - The Carter Center is remembering President Jimmy Carter and First Lady Rosalynn Carter on their wedding anniversary.

Monday, July 7, would have marked the Carter’s 75th wedding anniversary, and the Carter Center took to Facebook to remember the couple.

“We’re thinking of President and Mrs. Carter on their wedding anniversary and sending love to everyone who loved them.”

The Carter’s got married in 1946 in their hometown of Plains. The ceremony was held at the Plains Methodist Church.
