ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A family says a bullet fired in their Albany neighborhood went through their home Sunday night and into the room where a 13-year-old boy was lying down.

According to an Albany Police Department incident report, officers responded around 11 p.m. Sunday to a home on Rodnor Forest Lane after a report of an aggravated assault.

The homeowner told investigators she heard a gunshot in the neighborhood and then noticed the bullet had struck the front window of her home.

The bullet went through the window and continued through the wall, eventually entering the area where her 13-year-old son was lying down in his room, according to the report.

The boy was inside his room when the shooting happened. No injuries were reported in the incident report.

Investigators photographed the damage to the window and walls.

The homeowner told police she does not have surveillance cameras and did not know who may have fired the shot.

There are currently no suspects in the case.
