QUITMAN, GA. (WCTV) - One person is dead and others are hurt after a Christmas shooting in Quitman, according to the Brooks County Sheriff’s Office.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigations confirmed the person killed was 35-year old Raymond McCullar of Valdosta.
Officials said the shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. Thursday near the area of East Stephens and North Culpepper Streets.
An argument took place between two groups of people before shots were fired, according to the GBI.
In a press release, the sheriff’s office says they provided security at the Brooks County Hospital as “multiple victims were transported for treatment.”

According to the GBI, the investigation is still active and no one has been arrested.
