LEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) — A Lee County neighborhood is under a precautionary boil water notice, officials said.

Lee County Utilities Authority General Manager Chris Boswell said the water system pressure dropped Tuesday, Sept. 1, leading crews to issue a boil water notice and take samples from the Wiregrass Way area.

Boswell said the samples were sent to a lab in Albany to be tested, and results should come back Wednesday. He said the boil water notice will be lifted as soon as the samples bring back negative results.
