PEARSON, Ga. (WALB) — Pearson Church of God of Prophecy will host a benefit auction Aug. 1 in support of a local woman battling metastatic breast cancer.

Gina Johns has been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in the bones, described as triple negative. All proceeds from the event will go directly to Johns.

The auction is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. at 290 King St. in Pearson.

Organizers say auction items will include furniture, crafts, homemade cakes, canned-goods baskets, and additional items. Drinks and food will also be available for purchase at the event.
