MINNOELA, Fla. (TND) — "The arrestee was heard yelling at the victim from outside the front door of the residence."

That's what a sheriff's deputy in Florida first reported hearing at the scene of a disturbance, last Monday, July 15.

Inside, the deputy added, “The arrestee immediately became uncooperative and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol due to her strong odor of alcohol beverage, her slurred speech, and her belligerent demeanor.”

Michelle Lee Alsbaini “could not find her purse and became irate,” her arrest report said.

“She then began to scream at the victim” — her adult daughter — “because she wanted to leave the residence in the vehicle while intoxicated.
“This continued for several hours, at which time, the arrestee hit the victim in the upper arm area.”
The deputy said the victim and Alsbaini’s mother-in-law both told him that and then, “The arrestee also made spontaneous statements indicating that she did strike the victim, but advised she did not hit her hard.”

Her daughter didn’t want to prosecute, but that didn’t seem to matter.

Paramedics cleared Alsbaini, who “then appeared to pretend to lose consciousness,” the deputy wrote, and was taken to the hospital.

“She was about to be released from medical personnel, at which time she informed them she did not need further medical attention.

“While alone, the arrestee pulled her IV out from her arm and left the hospital on foot.
“The arrestee was later found several blocks away, at which time, she was placed into custody.”

The arrest report noted “previous battery convictions” but prosecutors did not pursue two counts of felony battery and resisting without violence after Alsbaini’s arrest in 2001.

That arrest report said she “had been screaming in the hallway and [two victims] had asked her to be quiet.”
Then, according to the property owner, “The arrestee had pushed her down hard enough to cause her to fall onto a nearby sofa.”
The arrest report said an “uncooperative” Alsbaini “was convicted of battery several times previously.”

This time, Alsbaini, 54, was charged with domestic violence battery-3rd offense. Her bond was set at $1,000 and she has not paid it.

She’ll have to obey a No Victim Contact Order when she’s eventually released.
