AUSTIN, Texas (KEYE) — Police have announced the arrest of three additional suspects in connection with the March murder of Infowars reporter Jamie White. White was shot and killed while attempting to prevent the theft of his car from the parking lot of his Southeast Austin apartment complex.

Austin Police Department Investigator Jason Jones extended condolences to White's family, saying, "I would like to take a moment to extend my heartfelt condolences to the friends and family of Jamie, whose life was taken tragically."

Jones identified the suspects as 17-year-olds Rodney Charles Hill and Eloy Adrian Camarillo, along with two minors. The group allegedly broke into White's Kia Soul with the intent to steal it. White confronted the suspects, leading to his fatal shooting. The suspects then fled the scene.

Surveillance footage played a crucial role in identifying the suspect vehicle, a black Kia Soul, which had been stolen from an apartment complex in Kyle on March 9.

"That vehicle was identified as having been stolen from an apartment complex in Kyle on March 9," said Jones.

License plate reader technology also helped locate another suspect vehicle, a silver Kia Soul, which was also stolen.

"That was extremely valuable and we're very fortunate that we got it," Jones said, noting the time limit of having the data in the system had almost expired.

Kia America's head of communications, James Bell, acknowledged that Kia vehicles have been targeted by teens nationwide, a trend exacerbated by social media.

"This was a crime issue that was perpetrated by social media," Bell said. He noted a recent decline in thefts following efforts to provide steering wheel locks to drivers.

"We just wanted our customers to be confident, comfortable, and know that they had the very best opportunity to push back on this unfortunate crime situation," he said.

In a statement, White's sister, Kelly Kneale, expressed gratitude to the Austin Police Department.

My father and I would like to thank the Austin Police Department, who have and continue to work towards justice for Jamie. The arrest of the individuals responsible for his death is a step towards accountability, but it does not bring him back. No matter the outcome of their trials, our grief remains, and we will continue to carry that pain for the rest of our lives.
We'd also like to thank friends, family, and others who have been so kind to us during this dark time. It's an unimaginable loss that has deeply wounded us both.

Jones says he doesn't anticipate any more arrests in this investigation, but stated the investigation remains ongoing.
