ATLANTA, Ga. — The woman at the center of the Atlanta abduction of two sisters is facing an additional charge in another county for reportedly faking a pregnancy, according to law enforcement.
Lakesha Brown, 42, is facing a misdemeanor obstruction charge. Officials said that charge stems from reportedly lying about being pregnant during an investigation.
An incident report states that in 2025, law enforcement was contacted after Brown sent a baby picture to the supposed father and “it did not look alive.”
The incident report states despite Brown sending multiple pictures and videos of her appearing to be pregnant and baby clothes, she told law enforcement she was never pregnant.

The Atlanta abduction happened Monday.
A 4-year-old girl and 11-month-old were found with Brown inside a locked trailer in southwest Atlanta.
In the abduction incident, Brown was charged with kidnapping and cruelty to children.
Arrest warrants state Brown posed as a babysitter on a “pregnancy mom group” on Facebook to get close to the family.
