ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Police are asking for your help finding an “armed and dangerous” man accused of killing his girlfriend and dumping her body in a Roswell ditch.

Roswell police officers responded to Azalea Drive at around 3:15 p.m. Christmas Eve after someone reported a “possible deceased person.” When they arrived, they found a woman in a ditch near the roadway with at least one gunshot wound. This is near the Roswell Riverwalk Trail.

“It was very surprising. I walk here a few times a week and I’ve never felt unsafe,” Arlyn Lawrence, who walks the nearby trail, said.

The victim has been identified as 47-year-old Sandy Springs resident Blanca Sauer.

Her boyfriend, Roberto Dominguez Soto, 49, has been named a suspect in her death, according to law enforcement. He is wanted by local, state, and federal authorities and should be considered armed and dangerous. Soto is also wanted by INTERPOL on firearms possession charges.

“I cannot believe that someone was found deceased on Azalea Drive,” Glenda Conway, who walks the trails for exercise, said. “I walk here just about every day never thinking that I would hear that someone was killed and laying in a ditch.”

“This is a heartbreaking situation, especially during the holiday season, and our hearts go out to the family and loved ones of Ms. Sauer,” said Roswell Police Chief James Conroy. “We are committed to bringing justice to those affected by this senseless act of targeted violence.”
