ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — A man accused of shooting and killing his girlfriend at an Albany apartment complex in 2024 was found guilty of all charges.

According to the Dougherty Judicial Circuit, a jury convicted J’Shon Davyen Price on charges of Malice Murder, Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm during Commission of a Felony on Monday, Nov. 2, following a week-long trial.

Price was accused of shooting and killing his then-girlfriend, 19-year-old Eboni Nicole Hood, at Shoreham Apartments on Champagne Lane in Albany on August 10, 2024.

Prosecutors say that despite Price’s claim that the shooting was accidental, he is now facing the maximum sentence of life in prison without parole plus five years.

“I am grateful that we were able to bring some sense of closure to Eboni Hood’s family,” District Attorney Gregory Edwards shared in a statement. “The hard work and dedication of our law enforcement officers, along with the efforts of our forensic analysts employed with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation,” Edwards commented, “contributed to the justice received in this case.”

The district attorney’s office said Price will be sentenced on a later date.
