GREENVILLE, S.C. (WHNS/Gray News) — Audio from a 911 dispatch call is revealing more details about actress Hayden Panettiere’s death.

Panettiere, 36, was found unresponsive and later pronounced dead at an apartment complex in Greenville, South Carolina, on Sunday afternoon, according to the Greenville Police Department.

Officers and EMS personnel responded at 1:51 p.m. to Judson Mill Lofts for a report of an unresponsive woman. First responders performed CPR, but Panettiere was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities in the 911 call used the word “overdose,” though her cause of death has not been confirmed.

An acquaintance of Panettiere placed the 911 call, according to authorities.

Previously, the actress shared that she struggled with alcoholism, opioid addiction and postpartum depression.

Preliminary findings have not indicated any signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances, police said.

Though the reason for Panettiere’s presence in Greenville is unknown at this time, her “Nashville” co-star Charles Esten performed a leg of his Carolina Tour at The Foundry at Judson Mill on Friday night.

Police are continuing to investigate along with the Greenville County Coroner’s Office.

Panettiere was best known for her roles in the TV shows “Heroes” and “Nashville” as well as films such as “Ice Princess” and the “Scream” franchise.
