LAKE COUNTY, Fla. (WESH) - Florida authorities have charged two unlikely drivers with street racing.

William Bosworth was pulled over after he was reportedly clocked going 110 mph on State Road 48 in Lake County.

The 85-year-old said he was out for a drive when another car swerved at him, according to an affidavit.

Bosworth and the driver of the other car, 57-year-old Phillip Signorino, were both facing charges of street racing and dangerous speeding more than 50 mph.

Police said Signorino told them that his Corvette wasn’t capable of reaching speeds that high.

Records showed both men denied they were racing against each other and had each posted bond.
