ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Several people have been arrested in a Sandy Springs police operation targeting human trafficking this week.

Police said that with help from the Dunwoody Police Department, officers have arrested eight suspects in the past two days. All are charged with solicitation for an illicit sexual act.

Those arrested are:

• Edwin Hernandez-Aguilar from Mableton
• Edgar Vazquez Cruz from Sandy Springs
• Branden Michael Reiner Boyd Cruz from Columbus
• David Luna Cruz from Marietta
• Cyrus Zeerak Cruz from Sandy Springs
• Suhuruth Reddy Chada Cruz from Marietta
• Edwin Crisostomo Reyes Cruz from Norcross
• Bailey Garrison Reed Cruz from Oakwood

“The Sandy Springs Police Department remains committed to proactive enforcement efforts aimed at combating human trafficking and keeping our community safe,” the department said in a statement.
