ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) —

TODAY: A muggy start heats up to the upper 80s midday with heat indices in the mid 90s. By this afternoon high temperatures reach the lower to middle 90s with heat indices near 100! under mostly sunny conditions.

FRIDAY-SATURDAY: The next 2 days will be even hotter and more humid. Highs in the middle 90s with heat index values 100+! Rain chances slowly build through this period.

WEEKEND: It does turn wetter as the weekend rolls. Some storms could be strong as we break the heat. Afternoon temperatures relax by Sunday.

EARLY-MID WEEK: Much wetter weather is expected as Tropical Moisture gets infused into a frontal system. Afternoon temperatures cool well into the 80s.
