VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) – Police are investigating a possible shooting that occurred at Sustella Townhomes in Valdosta.

The Valdosta Police Department responded to the scene on Sustella Drive at approximately 12:40 p.m. In response, Valdosta City Schools initiated a lockdown to ensure the safety of students and staff.

The situation was cleared around 1:15 p.m., and no injuries were reported.

WALB has confirmed that a suspect was arrested, and we are working to gather more details.

Commander Bobbi McGraw stated, “At this time, there is an ongoing investigation. We will provide updates when more information can be released.”
