VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) - Valdosta City Schools is set to distribute free packed lunches to students during its winter break, according to the school district.
VCS’ winter break runs Monday, Dec. 22, through Friday, Jan. 2, according to the school district’s 2025-2026 academic calendar.
The lunches will be distributed from 9 to 11 a.m. on December 22 at Valdosta High School, VCS announced on social media Monday morning.

Parent pick-ups are welcome and upon arrival, the district said the student’s name, school and ID number should be provided.
For those who plan to attend the distribution, VCS asks that attendees “enter from Inner Perimeter, pick up at the student bus loop, and exit on Park Avenue.”
The lunches are funded through the Seamless Summer Option Program, school officials said.
