Description

COFFEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) – Coffee County Schools announced there will be no school for students on Friday, November 14, as the Coffee High Trojans prepare to compete in the 1st round of the state football playoffs in Canton, Georgia.

According to district officials, the long travel distance and logistics involved in transporting players, cheerleaders, band members, and staff led to the decision. Instead, the day will be used as a half-day of professional learning for staff.

The schedule change is designed to help ensure students, staff, and fans can travel safely and return home late Friday evening.

Coffee County Schools shared the update on social media, ending the announcement with a spirited message: “Go Trojans!”
