ADEL, Ga. (WALB) — A multi-agency operation led to the arrest of a South Georgia funeral home operator on a number of felony child sex charges.

The Adel Police Department (APD) says Stanley Henderson’s charges include two counts of felony computer pornography, two counts of felony enticing a child for indecent purposes, one count of felony child molestation, two counts of felony aggravated sexual battery, one count of felony trafficking of persons for labor or sexual servitude, and one misdemeanor count of engaging in a funeral business without required compliance.

Adel police say additional charges are pending in the case.

The investigation started in June after Adel police received a tip that Henderson was running his funeral home without proper credentials, including not having a valid city business license. As part of that investigation, Adel police say they executed a search warrant and confiscated multiple electronic devices.

Police say the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office performed forensic analysis of those devices and discovered several pornographic images of an underage person.

On Sunday, July 13, with the help of the FLOCK camera database, police officers arrested Henderson in Lawrenceville without incident.

APD says Henderson is being held at the Cook County Jail after being denied bond.
