CAIRO, Ga. (WALB) - Five individuals were arrested in Cairo, Ga. and many drugs were seized during searches following a two-month-long investigation.

On Friday, June 6, the Cairo Police Department, Grady County Sheriff’s Office, Thomasville-Thomas County SWAT Team, and the Georgia State Patrol executed two search warrants in Cairo that led to the seizing of 4 pounds of marijuana, 11 ounces of cocaine, 6 ounces of MDMA (ecstasy), 4 ounces of Alpha-PVP (Molly) as well as oxycodone pills.

As a result, five individuals were arrested and face various drug-related charges. They are as follows:

Tyrone King, 49, of Cairo:

• Trafficking of cocaine
• Trafficking of MDMA
• Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
• Possession of controlled substances with intent near a park

Jamier King, 22, of Cairo:

• Trafficking of cocaine
• Trafficking of MDMA
• Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
• Possession of controlled substances with intent near a park

David Morris, 49, of Cairo:

• Trafficking of cocaine
• Trafficking of MDMA
• Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
• Possession of controlled substances with intent near a park

Ziyon Johnson, 20, of Cairo:

• Trafficking of cocaine
• Trafficking of MDMA
• Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
• Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime

Quantarious Stinson, 28, of Cairo:

• Trafficking of cocaine
• Trafficking of MDMA
• Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
• Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime
• Possession of a firearm while under first offender probation

All five individuals were booked into the Grady County Jail.

This case is active and ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Cairo Police Department at 229-378-3096. Once completed, the case file will be given to the South Georgia Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for review and prosecution.
